My old school Black & Decker sander vibrates like crazy to that the point the pressure bars won't keep the sandpaper in place. So, I (finally) figured out a way to correct this problem... simply add small strips of sandpaper underneath the pressure bars to add additional tension to keep it all together!

What's with all the goat stuff?
Many quiz me about my goat fascination. So, here it goes...
Goats became my personal mascot after I trekked into Red Desert Wilderness Area in Wyoming on my first goatpacking trip many years ago.
Yes, goats are the new technology when it comes to pack animals. Pound-for-pound, they can carry more than a mule. They do a lot less harm to the environment than horses or mules (they barely leave a trace with their small hooves).
But that's just a start. No other animal can match goats for their optimal combination of flexibility, smarts and darn-right cuteness:
- There are more goats in the world than cows... simply because they can endure much harsher conditions — from the coldest colds to the hottest hots.
- Goat's milk is less fatty and better for you than cow's milk.
- Ever hear of cashmere? Comes from goats.
- Contrary to "grumpy" myths, goats by nature are extremely friendly. You don't see many cows or horses in petting zoos, do you? Goats rule because of their good nature.
- Goats have the intelligence of the finest dog breeds.
- Goats bond easily with humans. In fact, they assume humans are part of the goat family when you're out in the wilderness — waiting for you to catch up if you fall behind.
- As a herd, they naturally watch out for each other. The lay in a circle at night to keep a 360-degree eye out for bad things that might be out there.
- They are self-sufficient. They can survive by eating nearly anything (yes, that part is true!).
All-in-all, humans could learn a lot from those characteristics above.
Eclipse — a better way to detect breast cancer
Eclipse is one of the coolest projects I've recently been involved with. Working under Norstar Group, I have led the overall project management to launch this incredible product that could potentially save millions of lives from breast cancer.
In short, Eclipse is the first personal handheld scanner that creates images of deep breast tissue. The bottom line is the scanner often can see potential tumors that women might otherwise not feel through a regular breast self-exam.
In addition to project management, I have handled most of the copywriting and PR work to date. Even did a little video editing.
Check it out... it's an amazing product that may change the lives of many folks.
Wedding Reborn
What do you do with lots of small potted succulents left over from your daughter's wedding?
Repurpose them in a wicker basket... now welcoming folks at our front door. Ah, my wife, she's always thinking...
